CIO with 35 years of industry experience spanning Chemicals, Retail, Aerospace, and two decades in the Food and Beverage Sector. Proficient at business and tech transformations at executive levels. Expertise includes:
• Strategic execution, from digital roadmaps to ERP deployments and global outsourcing (finance, HR, IT, and procurement).
• Establishing an $8bn tax-advantaged supply chain, yielding >$250m annual profit.
• Building lasting relationships, from boardroom to operations, emphasising business value.
• Coaching C-suite, addressing cultural challenges, and initiating ED&I councils.
• Leading extensive multi-functional strategy execution programmes.
• Recognised as a collaborative, energetic, and seasoned leader and mentor.
Currently the Chief Information and Digital Officer at Essar Oil UK, Vineeth is instrumental in shaping the digital transformation and cybersecurity protocols for both IT and OT layers, and he’s a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Previously, he served as the Group Chief Digital and Information Officer at Vedanta Group, where he also spearheaded Vedanta CoE’s functions, focussing on business improvements and ESG benefits. Before Vedanta, he championed Digital Transformation at JSW. During a 17-year tenure at General Electric (GE), he held various leadership roles, including GE Digital’s Strategies & Shared Services Leader. He also collaborated with organisations like Elind and CONCIO. Beyond his corporate contributions, Vineeth is an avid community service volunteer and donor.
Tony was appointed Group CIO at Jaguar Land Rover in April 2022, steering its digital transformation by unifying enterprise IT and data & analytics. Before JLR, he dedicated 20 years to the energy sector, notably as CIO at Shell Energy, B2C and B2B, and took on significant roles within Eni and Anglo American. His global exposure includes work across every continent and residencies in Holland, Italy, and the Caribbean, moulding him into a passionate advocate for diversity. With vast experience in engineering, manufacturing, and retail, Tony played pivotal roles in Shell, even overseeing business service transformations across 25 markets. A chartered engineering surveyor with a master’s in information science, he relishes tennis, cricket, and quality time with his family.
